Get Paid to Go Solar

It sounds to good to be true!

You can now sell Solar Renewable Energy Credits for all the photovoltaic energy you generate at your own house! This is in addition to the federal tax credit and to the money you save on your electric bill. Avery and Sun’s business partner, Sol Systems, buys SRECs (Solar Energy Renewable Credits) from customers who have installed photovoltaic systems, and sells them to utilities that need green energy credits. This is a market-based incentive plan to help people like you make the switch from fossil fuels to solar.

The money you make selling SRECs is actually more than what you save on your utility bill. Sol Systems is currently paying $200 per megawatt-hour, or $.20 per kilowatt-hour, which is probably a lot more than what you are paying for electricity. After we install your system, you sign up through us and they will send you a check every three months. The check will be $150 to $300 or more, depending on the size of your system. This amounts to 4% to 5% annually on your investment. (Or 7% after the federal tax credit.) Selling your Solar Renewable Energy credits is just one more reason to go solar. Along with savings on your electricity bill, plus immunity from rising energy costs, you will be better off financially if you invest in solar now.
